It’s the first time that a world-famous living pop artist has turned his artwork into a clothing line for the New York Fashion Week.
The clothing line encompasses unique, hand-painted items and custom-made art.
Peter Marco wants to make people feel like they “POP” when they wear his art
New York City, NY – July 17, 2017 – Peter Marco, a world-renowned pop artist, releases a new clothing line “Marco Not Polo.” The line will be launched at the runway of the New York Fashion Week on Septmeber 8 , 2017 and will be available on retail stores nationwide in the near future.
With “Marco Not Polo”, Mr. Marco literally makes clothing design history. This is the first time when a famous living pop artist turns his artwork into a full-blown clothing line. “Marco Not Polo” is based on MARCOART, which is Mr. Marco’s widely acclaimed brand of Pop Art.
Featuring Internationally known fashion designer Erjhon Dela Serna, The new clothing line incorporates many of the practices that Mr. Marco employs in his artwork, such as one-of-a-kind and hand-painted items as well as custom-made art pieces.
“I want to make people POP when they wear my artwork. When asked how it “feels” to “POP” the artist replied: “special, excited, happy” Marco's clothing line is meant to be a “wearable canvass,”
MARCOART has co-branded with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, politics and business, including Quentin Tarantino, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Moby, Marc Ecko and Russell Simmons. Mr. Marco’s witty colourful brand of pop art is widely collected by both celebrities and everyday folks and sells internationally for thousands of dollars.
Mr. Marco who even has an additional company in Japan and is currently expanding in Southeast Asia, publishes children’s books and is working on an animated children’s cartoon as well as several film and music projects, a TV show and an illustrated novel.
Mr. Marco is also a major philanthropist. He has donated his artwork to thousands of charitable organizations.
