Guest stepped into the brightly lit colorful space where textures and color gave a sence of a time gone by but revised and refreshed and as they marvelled at the pieces on display, food by Chef Brian Vaccarella was served as well as drinks provided by sponsors; Peroni, Hollywood Vodka, Silent Pool Gin and Perfectomundo Tequila.

Ulloo 42 is a labor of love endeavor for the friends, as artist Suzanne and business visionary Lisa took Suzanne’s reinvented high-end furniture with artistic flair into the public domain for others to take home and enjoy. The philosophy driving the process behind Ulloo 42 is the belief that previously loved high-end home furnishings are worthy of transformation. Ulloo begins with the power of two. "2" being two beings that had complimentary trajectories with global proportions. Add "40" and you can get lost in a divine number Ulloo 42 is shooting for with the first collection.

Founders Lise Abraham and Suzanne Currie started ULLOO 42 because they believe that furniture can be art and art can be furniture.

“The majority of our collection is really distinguished by being ‘re-born’ or transformed into the vision of fine art and design,” said Suzanne Currie, co-founder of Ulloo 42. “We source pieces for our unique design and inspiration from all over the world, hand-making each item with love and individualized attention. In this age of unlimited choice, we felt the need to pare down and offer a small selection of items that we think will really resonate with people.”

Currie’s passion for combining bold color and pattern through collage influences her spectacular furniture transformations, resulting in unexpected creative intersections of texture and shape in the final pieces. Each individual piece is marked by an outlandish and fun, fusion of color and detail, making the pieces standalone works of functional art.

“This has become a total all-consuming passion for the two of us, and we wouldn’t have it any other way,” said Currie. “There is so much beauty and artistic display just waiting to be tapped into and set free around the world today. Most people don’t realize that the very furniture pieces in their home are a blank canvas for true personalized display. We’re turning conventional pieces like lamps and chairs into something unique that will distinguish any living area from the rest.”

Amongst the pieces on display included redesigned chairs (the Storyteller Chair and Aquavelvet Chair) sofas, tables, lighting (including the Frenchie Lamp, the Seraphim Lamp, and the Empire Lamp), and even original wall art.

An amazing time was had by all who attended. Many calling it “the most instagramable night of the year” with its breathtaking artistic furniture pieces spotlighted on raised platforms with bright neon costumed performers bringing attention to the fantastical array of textures and patterns brought to life in the Ulloo42 furniture Launch
